For many years nomadic rugs were a smart buy at a low price. But it is unfortunately a fact that this changes from year to year. The supply of genuine nomadic rugs is constantly declining, with the result that prices are rising. Many of today's nomads no longer move as constantly as they used to, this has resulted in nomadic tradition and culture changing. Carpets and rugs of course continue to be an important element of their lives. The materials they use are made by them and the looms are usually horizontal and detachable.
They do not use a draft but knot from memory the designs influenced by their environment that have been handed down to them from generation to generation.
