The geometric designs are inspired by old Russian and Caucasian rugs which are now rarely made.
Today Kasak and Shirvan carpets are woven in Pakistan.
At high KASAK qualities hand-twisted wool is used (handspun wool) dyed with vegetable colours. Many times the selvage is double or triple, woven simultaneously with the carpet making it more beautiful and durable.
The final finishing of the carpet is a special stone-wash giving it a old look with more faded colours.
Kasak rugs look well in traditional, modern and classic decorations.
